The Governing Council of the British Institute of Persian Studies meets several times a year to conduct the business of the Institute. An Annual General Meeting is held in the autumn. It is supported by an Advisory Council which it meets with jointly at least once a year. BIPS seeks to co-operate with all scholars in Iranian Studies working in the UK, in Iran and overseas.
